We Can Do It! WWII Heinz History Exhibit & Commemorative Events May 25-July 16, 2019

We Can Do It! is a compelling traveling exhibit exploring Pennsylvania's incredible impact on the home, industrial, and battle fronts during World War II. Hosted by the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum in partnership with the Blair County Historical Society, the WWII Heinz History Exhibit will be set up inside the Railroaders Museum May 25-July 16, 2019. Experience over 30 additional complimenting anniversary events in the Altoona/Blair County area during the exhibit dates.

Saturday, June 15: Train Excursion Rides at Everett Railroad Company with Furious Fourth Reenactors; 11am, 1pm, 3pm.  Join soldiers, sailors, and airmen in period attire as they ride the rails back home at war's end. The weekend commemorates the homecoming of millions of men and women returning from the Second World War.  Visitors who hop aboard these steam excursion trains will be immersed in the 1940s as they encounter traveling service members and tune into period music and news broadcasted over the train.  A portion of the proceeds benefits the Blair County Historical Society.
